• Crafted of solid oak and was painted in a pale green (old paint)
• Original mirrored glass
• Storage shelves within along with a storage drawer beneath
• Aged brass hardware
This Antique Farm House Hanging Cabinet came out of an estate in Freehold, New Jersey, where is was used in a home workshop. At some point in the pieces life, it was painted green. Typically we wont take in painted pieces, although this piece was an exception for how old the paint looks and the character it adds. This pale green can compliment many modern gray tones and lighter earth tones, which is great an estates bathroom. The mirrored front door appears to be original glass and does not have any cracks. The door also shows styled brass hinges which were painted over, along with the door handle. Within the cabinet you’ll find 2 removable glass shelves, these shelves were most likely added to this piece at a later time. The locking mechanism for the door is no longer there, and was replaced with a nail to catch the latch. The bottom drawer is dovetailed, and opens and closes as it should. Overall the piece is in good shape and is sturdy, but does show its age with expected wear. Please see our high resolution photo gallery
