A Farmhouse Oak Chadwick Spool Chest, United States, c. Early 20th Century. This Thread Cabinet would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid oak shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by a deep satin finish. The two stacked drawers open and close as they should, both are faced with white porcelain knobs with a oval recessed center. The drawers read “Chadwick’s Spool Cotton”, this is hand painted, not a decal. Each drawer opens and closes as it should and shows early dovetailed sides.
