A Federal Style Mahogany Serpentine Open Front Server, United States, c.19th Century. This unusually designed piece would look great in a dining setting as a server, or used as an occasional open front cabinet to store a collection. The serpentine front is drastic and adds an eclectic look to any room its staged in. You’ll enjoy a rich mahogany veneer along with maple penciled inlay throughout. The piece stands on four tapered legs which supports it nicely, it does not wobble and its very solid. The back of each shelf area shows handsome raised panels. The backside of the piece is unsigned or marked.
