Truly a one of a kind Folk Art Carved Wood Weathervane, carved with exceptional quality from the Early 20th Century. The large dragon top is solid wood and was completely hand carved, likely of pine. The dragon rotates 360 degrees freely on a steel rod, the dragon lifts off for transportation. This piece was displayed outdoors, the wood is weathered and shows splits in select areas – Nature has ran its course on this one. It should be displayed indoors, although outdoors was its intended use, it would be best to keep this piece out of the elements. The weathervane stands on a pine pedestal, it is not fixed to this piece but caters as a great display. Overall, this piece is in nice condition with wear shown.
