An eye catching piece, worthy enough for that estate parlor or special room. This Settee is crafted of solid walnut with a drastic grain throughout. It’s back rest is heavily carved with European influenced algorithmic details and beveled edge work. The upholstery unfortunately shows wear, stains, small tears and a hole in a corner. Personally, having a settee this fine and heavily carved deserves to be reupholstered. It would be absolute eye-candy in a black or brown leather (or vinyl). The settee overall is sturdy, and for its age it doesn’t show much wobble – It would easily support the weight of 2 adults.
