This Early 20th Century Sideboard resembles work by R.J Horner or Flint, it’s actually a piece crafted by master carver Carlo Puccini. For generations the Puccini family passed on the craft of carved detailing. We’ve had the opportunity to speak with Carlo Puccini’s great-grandson, who not only verified the authenticity of the piece, but also gave us a little bit of history upon it’s origin. This was crafted at Puccini’s workshop in Cascina in the providence of Pisa. The piece still displays the original Carlo Puccini Italian label on the backside. The piece is crafted of solid walnut and shows some of the most detailed carvings we’ve seen, simply the nicest of its kind. This piece does not come apart in pieces, it’s all one piece and extremely heavy. You’ll enjoy an array of carved floral motif’s, northwind and devil faces and a large top surface. This piece offers storage at its best with 2 large bottom doors with shelf space, along with a wide top drawer above. This piece was professionally refinished at some point in the pieces life, it does show mild expected wear, but it’s overall in great shape.
