During the Early 20th Century, Maling was best known for their expertly crafted Coronet Ware collections. This particular Urn Lamp was made in England as an export item for the American market during the 1930’s. This style and design is seldom found by Maling, it’s makes a great conversion piece. You’ll enjoy vibrant hand painted details including a Cherry Blossom Tree which seamlessly wraps around the body of the Lamp. The cobalt blue base adds lovely contrast and is embellished with gold accenting. The black lacquered footed bottom provides excellent support for the lamp and does not wobble in any way. This lamps works as it should, it does not have to be rewired. The original shade is not included with the lamp. You will find a hairline crack in the glazing on the underside top rim of the urn, we’ve circled this in our photo gallery for reference. The crack is not loose and could not be seen while the lamp is standing, especially with a shade added. The underside of the lamp displays the Maling Coronet England “Crown” mark, this mark was put into circulation as early as 1920
