A Traditional Walnut Sewing Cabinet by Martha Washington, United States, c.1920. This Cabinet would look exceptional while on display in an array of interior styles. The solid walnut shows a drastic grain throughout accompanied by a deep satin finish. The large styled top is fixed to the cabinet, this is not a flip top, this makes the table far more practical for staging. The 3 stacked drawers open and close as they should and include newer style knobs that were added – They suit the piece well. The top drawer includes the original organizer insert which is removable to your desire. Both sides of the piece slide open to reveal additional storage space along with spool holders and shelves.
Condition:
This Cabinet was exceptionally well made, it stands sturdy and solid. Mild surface scratches and small chips are shown from age. Blemishes to the finish are shown on the right of the piece. There aren’t any cracks in the wood or legs shown.
