A remarkable 6 Chair Set crafted by J&J Kohn, in its entirety. This 1920’s set is absolutely stunning and possibly some of the best work by Kohn. Each Bentwood Chair is marked on the underside “Mazowia Poland” along with Kohns slogan “Semper Sursum“, which translates to “always aim high” in Latin. Each chair shows a drastic grain throughout and the finish has aged nicely. The carved “embossed” alligator carved wood back rests and seats are so unique for the age of these chairs. Scratches and surface blems are found throughout, as well as wear marks from use, this set shows a lot of character. Each chair could very well be used everyday as a dining chair, all are very sturdy.
