A Traditional German Onyx Inkwell with Pen Rest, c. Early 20th Century. This Inkwell would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The black onyx base is nicely polished and includes a double half moon pen rest in brass. The original glass inkwell opens and closes as it should, it is removable from the base. The bottom side of the Inkwell sits is marked “Germany”.
Condition:
This Inkwell is in overall good condition. Flea bites along the edges of the onyx base is shown as well as chips along the bottom of the inkwell. Tarnishing to the brass can be seen from age, as well as a dent along the inkwell’s lid.
