A Traditional Victorian Mahogany Sheet Music Cabinet, c. Early 20th Century. This Music Cabinet would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid mahogany shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by a deep satin finish. This finish pairs nicely with many period pieces of many styles, perfect for staging. The top surface features beveled edges and a quaint sized back rest. A single accessory drawer is seen below the top surface, this drawer opens and closes as it should and is embellished with aged brass knobs. The solid oak drawer construction features dovetailed sides. The large music storage door includes a brass escutcheon pull and key. The interior includes 4 bird’s eye maple storage shelves, each are removable and would support a generous amount of weight added. While this piece was originally made to store sheet music, it could also store a vinyl record collection. The cabinet stands on stunning cabriole legs, which ties the entire design of the cabinet together nicely. The backside of the piece is unsigned or marked.
