Antique Victorian Carved Burl Mahogany Mirrored Ladies Vanity

This Early 20th Century Ladies Vanity would compliment a Boudoir or Bedroom Suite nicely. The piece is crafted of solid mahogany and finished in a drastic mahogany veneer, some areas showing gorgeous burl accenting. The mirrored glass appears to be original and does not have any cracks or chips – It’s in very good condition. The mirror sits in a styled mahogany frame, which gives the piece an elegant appearance. The double tier surface area provides a nice amount of top storage space, as well as a small and large size drawer. Each drawer is embellished with aged brass pulls and show dovetailed sides, the drawers open and close as they should. The drawer pulls aren’t original to the piece, although they are true to its era. Throughout you’ll enjoy hand carved motifs which truly add character to this piece. The turned styled legs stand on its original caster wheels, all of which roll smoothly and could be removed to your desire. This piece was refinished at some point in its life, the top surface areas has a rather thick finish, it was most likely “varnished over varnish” throughout the years. You’ll notice mild wear to the finish, include finish blemishes, surface scratches and minor chips, although we’d say this piece is in nice condition and exceptionally sturdy.
