A Victorian Mahogany Magazine Stand, United States, c. Early 20th Century. This piece would look exceptional while on display in an array of interior styles. The solid mahogany shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by a deep original finish. The piece is carved throughout showing an array of motifs and styles panels. The overall design includes two open hulls for magazine (or paper) storage and a bottom platform shelf. This piece is unsigned or marked.
Condition:
This Stand was exceptionally well made, it’s both solid and sturdy. Mild wear is shown to the finish and includes surface scratches, minor chips and blemishes. A repair is shown to a carved area in a panel, this area is circled in our photo gallery to reference.
