A Victorian English Oak Barley Twist Mirrored Hall Tree Bench, United Kingdom, c. Early 20th Century. This Monumental Sized Hall Bench would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid oak shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by an aged satin finish. The enlarged backrest features an original 20″ x 23″ beveled mirror panel, 6 sculpted brass coat (or hat) hooks and a styled slatted back. The center seat features a hinged top which reveals open storage within. Along each side of the seat, you’ll enjoy umbrella/cane holders, accompanied by barley twist side members – It’s quite stunning. The bottom of the umbrella holders includes aluminum plate bottoms, they’re not original and the right hand side plate doesn’t sit flat – They’re optional to use. The backside of this piece is unsigned or marked.
