Antique Victorian Farmhouse Triangular Needlepoint Carved Walnut Belgian Footstool

This Carved Triangular Footstool was crafted in Belgium during the Early 20th Century. This unique yet eye catching Stool would compliment an array of interior styles, a versatile piece at its best! The solid carved Walnut construction is exceptional and shows drastic motifs throughout. The styled legs are sturdy for its age and would support the leg weight of an adult, if used as an ottoman. One of the legs appears slightly crooked, although surprisingly this hasn’t compromised how sound the stool actually is. The needlepoint top is original and shows a heavily detailed Tree of Life setting with Birds of Paradise, it’s lovely to admire. The needlepoint is finished off with brass nail heads, some may be missing or loosened from time. The inside of the cushioned top includes the original horse hair fill. The underside of the Stool is marked “Made in Belgium”. Mild wear to the piece is to be expected from age, there are some small holes on the corners of the needlepoint, this is shown in our photo gallery for reference.
