A Victorian Carved Mahogany Smoke Stand Humidor Side Table, United States, c. Early 20th Century. This Humidor Stand would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid mahogany shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by a deep original finish. This piece would have originally been used as a smoke stand with a humidor cabinet, although it makes for the perfect occasional stand or side table. The top surface is nicely recessed between two flared side members, which shows a stunning carved motif with reeded edge work. The chest area is faced with a flame mahogany veneer and brass knob, this area opens and closes as it should. The interior of the piece is clean and quite spacious, it is not copper lined. The side supports and legs of the stand shows hand turned accents, which compliments the design of the piece nicely. The backside and underside is unsigned or marked.
