A Victorian Oak Stick and Ball Motif Wall Hanging Display Cabinet, United States, c. Late 19th Century. This Cabinet would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid oak shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by a deep finish. This piece stands upright on its own, it can be displayed standing upon a piece of furniture, or hung on the wall as its original intent. The cabinet is cased in original beveled glass panels and includes a single beveled glass shelf, supported by two iron brackets – It’s quite stunning. The interior bottom and backing is lined in a pale gold velvet, which contrasts perfectly against the oak grain. The single front door opens and closes as it should and includes an aged brass latch. Throughout the piece, you’ll enjoy a traditional stick and ball motif, it’s heavily detailed and absolutely timeless. The underside is unsigned or marked.
