A Victorian Quartersawn Oak Cane Seat Library Swivel Chair, c. Early 20th Century. This Library Chair would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid oak shows a drastic quartersawn grain throughout, accompanied by a deep satin finish. The backrest is nicely sculpted and shows great lines, the spindled backrest is a nice touch. The natural cane seat top adds perfect contrast with nice tension. The chair swivels 360 degrees with an adjustable pivot back. The shepherd caster wheels are of very high quality, they roll smoothly as they should, these were added to the Chair at a later date. The underside of the Chair is unmarked or signed.
