A Victorian Oak Carved Savonarola Saddle Chair, United States, c.1910. This Chair is crafted of solid oak with a drastic grain shown throughout. The Chair was refinished as some point in its life, although it was not done recently. It shows a deep finish that would contrasts an array of interiors nicely. The backrest of the chair shows a traditional oval shape followed by carved foliage to accent. The unusually shaped arms shows a beaded arm rest and is accompanied by slatted sides. This chair is unsigned or marked.
