A Victorian Quartersawn Oak Entryway Mirrored Hall Bench, c. Early 20th Century. This Hall Bench would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid oak shows a drastic quartersawn grain throughout, accompanied by an aged satin finish. The finish compliments many furniture periods and eras – It looks stunning while staged in a foyer or entryway. The original beveled glass caters as a full length mirror, it’s guarded by four brass accessory hooks. While these hooks aren’t original to the piece, they’re nicely aged and suits the style well. The seat top is hinged and lifts to reveal storage space within. Each arm rest features a spoon carved shell motif with reeded front panels. The lion’s paw feet are heavily carved. The backside of this piece is unsigned or marked.
