A Victorian Quartersawn Oak Serpentine Front Dresser, United States, c. Early 20th Century. This Dresser would look exceptional while on display in an array of interior styles. Great for both a dresser or vanity, it’s a versatile piece! The solid oak shows a drastic quartersawn grain throughout, accompanied by a deep finish. The three stacked drawers shows a serpentine waved front and include original aged brass Victorian pulls. Each drawer opens and closes as it should and shows dovetailed construction. The dresser stands on stunning cabriole legs which includes original caster wheels, the caster wheels could be removed to your desire. The piece is unmarked or signed.
Condition:
This Dresser was exceptionally well made, it’s both solid and sturdy. The piece was professionally refinished at some point in its life, although it was not done recently. The finish shows mild surface scratches, finish blemishes and minor chips. Any notable wear is circled in our photo gallery to reference.
