A Queen Anne Carved Mahogany Ottoman, United States, c.1920s. This Ottoman was exceptionally well made, even with its age it stands firm and sturdy. The upholstry was professionally redone but not recently, the textile looks great but shows mild discoloration and stains from age. The textile used has a premium feel and displays a timeless pattern.The solid mahogany Queen Anne style legs are carved, showing a traditional motif on each. The legs are accompanied by deco nail heads (some are missing as shown). You will find wear on each of the legs from age, although there are no cracks shown in the wood. The underside is unmarked or signed by the maker.
