This Antique Drop Front Secretary is exceptional in almost every way and is very unique. This secretary has a large raised panel drop down front, which leads to a large writing area. The writing area is at a slight angle, which is great for writing, especially on the matte board top. Within the secretary area, you’ll find 23 storage cubbies, in all different sizes; As well as 2 walnut faced storage drawers. The top of the piece has a nice beveled motif, as well as a nice surface area which would look great displaying a few antiquarian books. This is a 2-piece secretary, the top secretary area lifts off the base and legs. Overall, the piece is in very nice shape for its age, it was possibly refinished at some point in the pieces life, it’s also very sturdy. It does show expected wear which includes stains, minor chips and blems.
