A Pre-1920’s Wicker Sewing Basket crafted by Heywood Wakefield. This piece displays the exceptional quality Heywood Wakefield began producing in their earlier years. The complete woven wicker shows its natural finish, all of which is in nice condition considering its age. The hinged top opens and closes as it should and shows plenty of storage space within. the rotating handle and sturdy enough to carry the entire piece when full. An additional storage shelf is shown below with a pine bottom. The underside of the piece shows a piece of the original label, most of it is removed. This stand is very sturdy and would look great on display in an array of interior styles.
