• Raised panel finished back
• Lots of storage
From the 1960’s, George Zee was known for putting out some of the finest export pieces out of Hong Kong – This Drop Front Secretary shows just that! This secretary is crafted of solid teak and shows a drastic grain throughout. The drop front, as well as the drawer handles displays traditional Japanese medallions, which are carved into the wood. Throughout, you’ll find raised paneling, beveled edge work and storage at its best! Within the secretary area, you’ll find a nice sized writing top as well as a series of different sized cubbies for storage. The drop down area rests on 2 teak pieces which automatically protrudes from the piece once the writing area is open. 4 spacious drawers beneath is ideal for additional storage. This secretary has a finished back, which is ideal if the back of the piece is not against a wall. Overall, this piece is in very nice shape with minimal wear – It was truly babied for most of its life. You’ll find expected wear like surface scratches, although there isn’t any major damage to the piece.
