A Danish Modern Teak Ice Bucket Designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs, Denmark, c.1958. This Ice Bucket would look exceptional while displayed in a Mid-Century inspired interior. This particular style is refereed to as Model 810, it was amongst Quistgaard’s most popular designs. His designs and concepts were often inspired by Viking Ships and Early Norwegian influences. The sculpted multi-board teak shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by an original satin finish. The finish would compliment many Mid-Century teak & walnut designer pieces. The top lid shows a semi arched top with a styled handle. The original plastic interior shows a vibrant red, which contrasts perfect off the teak finish. The interior is clean with only mild scuffs shown to the plastic from use. The underside of the piece is marked Dansk Designs Denmark.
