An Atomic Flying Saucer “Sightlight” Desk Lamp by M.G Wheeler, c.1950. This Desk Lamp would look exceptional while displayed in a Mid-Century inspired interior. This Lamp, designed by M.G Wheeler is often refereed to as “The Flying Saucer” – Its iconic design offers timeless flare and sensational lines. The aluminum base is nicely pebbled with a leather-like texture. The Lamp pivots 360 degrees upon the brushed brass center sphere – It’s quite unique. The neck of the lamp is nicely styled and flows seamlessly into the lights socket. The double tier flying saucer shade looks perfect while illuminated. The underside of the shade is marked M.G Wheeler.
