This unusual Wood Carved Yoruba Women is the perfect conversation piece! This piece was purchased in Africa by a collector during the Mid to Late 20th Century. This carving is a single piece of wood – rather amazing craftsmanship. The heavily detailed carving displays a Yoruba Woman with a large Rooster upon her head. Despite its odd proportions, the piece stands exceptionally sturdy on its own – You’ll be surprised! The aged wood finish is deep and shows natural flaws. The piece has a great textured feel, very natural and organic. You will notice the front of the Roosters head is cracked, as well as a split in the wood on the body. The bottom of the sculpture is felted and safe to display on valuable furnishings.
