An Art Deco Mahogany Pipe Tobacco Humidor Stand, c.1940. This Humidor Stand would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. This Humidor makes for the perfect desktop accent, it’s a wonderful gentleman’s piece. The solid mahogany shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by an original satin finish. The top and bottom of the face shows a transferred marquetry motif, it contrasts nicely. The piece accommodates 6 pipes total (pipes are not included). The top opens and closes as it should and leads you to the humidor area, lined in untreated spanish cedar. The bottom of the humidor area is accented in an opaque milk glass as well as the inside of the top hatch. A humidity strip is included to dampen, this slides nicely into a grove along the hatch – although a modern disposable humidity pack will fit in this area. The underside of the piece is unsigned or marked.
