A Pair of Black Lacquer Wood Vases with Mother of Pearl Inlay, China, c. Mid 20th Century. This Pair of Vases would look exceptional while on display in an array of interior styles. The matte lacquer over wood is extremely durable and shows a stunning finish. The inlaid mother of pearl bamboo motif contrasts off the black lacquer nicely. Each piece looks great stood alone, or with a floral arrangement. The underside of each shows series of catalog numbers.

Each Vase is in good condition with mild wear shown to the finish. An area of splitting in the lacquer is shown, this is not the wood cracked. This area is circled in our photo gallery. Wear is shown along the top rim from years of use.
