A Cast Iron Taoist Immortal Statue of Qin Gao Riding a Koi Fish, China, c. Mid 20th Century. This piece would look exceptional while on display in an array of interior styles. The overall size of this statue is great for an office desk, self top or table display. The cast iron weighs 5lbs and is hollowed – This could have been used as an incense burner, or door stop. The piece shows stunning details throughout and is finished in a deep bronzed lacquer. Despite the statues unusual proportions and shape, it stands sturdy on its own. The underside is unmarked or signed.
