Vintage Chinese Chippendale Carved Mahogany Asian Pedestal Plant Stand by Lane

This Plant Stand was crafted by Lane Altavista during the early 1960’s. Lane is known for their legendary quality Cedar Chests, as well as their Acclaim and Tuxedo Line of Mid Century Furniture. Before obtaining this piece, we’ve never came across anything Asian influenced by Lane, none the less Chinese Chippendale style. The lines on this piece are great, and would compliment an array of interior styles. The solid mahogany construction is finished off with a drastic grain veneer, both in very nice condition. Around the piece, you’ll enjoy Traditional Chinese Carved Motif’s, along with an additional storage platform below. This piece would look great with a live plant, or with a large Urn upon top. Overall, it’s in very nice shape, you will find mild wear including surface scratches. This plant stand is very sturdy and does not wobble or shake. The piece is signed “Lane Altavista” on the underside.
