An Wall Hanging Ebonized Rattan Shelf, United States, c. 1980. This uniquely styled shelf looks exceptional once hung. The piece would look great staged with books, indoor plants or a collection a like. The bent rattan is ebonized, showing stunning gradients and worn areas. The piece shows 3 shelves with woven rattan bottoms. Two additional storage areas are seen underneath the bottom shelf. This piece stands upright on its own, although it’s best enjoyed hung. Modern hanging brackets were added to the backside, these would support a heavy collection just fine. This piece is unsigned or marked.
