A Federal Style Carved Mahogany Display Top Coffee Table, United States, c.1940. This piece would look exceptional while on display in an array of interior styles. The Table is crafted of solid mahogany with a drastic grain shown throughout accompanied by a deep original finish. The table top displays a large glass panel with a wood veneered interior. The table top can be accessed from the bottom of the table to display the inside with valuables or photographs. The side edges of the table are nicely sculpted, it adds a unique look. The traditional legs are nicely styled, showing brass paw foot mounts. The underside of the table is unmarked or signed.

Condition:

This table was exceptionally well made, it stand solid and sturdy. Mild surface scratches, finish blemishes and chips can be seen from age. There aren’t any cracks or chips in the glass.
