Vintage French Empire Brass Incense Holder Censer Burner Urn w/ Goat Head Motif

An Empire Brass Incense Censer Urn with Goat Head Motif, c.1940. This Incense Censer would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid brass is nicely aged throughout, the piece is finished in a faded dark lacquer. The egg shaped hull of the piece is surrounded by three heavily detailed goat heads, which leads down to a hoofed base – It’s quite stunning. The removable lid shows a stunning etched motif, and is completely perforated for incense smoke to protrude from the top. The lid is removable and leads you into a clean interior. The underside of this piece is unsigned or marked.
