Exceptionally detailed in craftsmanship and quality, this Louis XV Style Server is the perfect conversation starter! Often, these pieces were refereed to as “Antique Reproductions” – This is a 20th Century piece. The Rose Wood veneer is in very nice condition and shows drastic tones in natural lighting. The green marble top is stunning and is 2 inches thick, very heavy! The green marble contrasts the rosewood veneer just perfectly, the marble does lift off the piece for transport. This piece is heavily decorated with brass ormolu mounts including a large front shield. The way the door opens with the ormolu mount is very unique. The drastic claw feet are heavily detailed and are solid brass. This is a heavy, sturdy and solid piece! As it is in good condition, you will find expected wear including surface scratches, minor chips, finish blems and oxidization to the brass ormolu.
