Vintage German Deichert Jewelry Storage Burl Walnut Music Box

This Mid 20th Century Music Storage Box was crafted by Deichert. Deichert was a Musical Box manufacture out of Western Germany, best known for their Ballerina trademarked jingle, just as this box plays. The Thorens Movement was made in Switzerland and is exceptional in quality, it plays lovely and winds up as it should with the key included. The box displays drastic burl walnut veneers and wood inlays – Very pleasing to look at! The interior is embellished with a red velvet to keep valuables stored safe. The box opens and closes as it should, but does not lock. There is a small brass screw embedded into the lock area, we aren’t sure why it’s there, although the door closes with it in place. The veneer finish is in great shape with the exceptional of a chipped area on the right side of the box, this could be seen in our photo gallery for reference.
