A Porcelain Imperial Birds of Paradise Motif Urn with Lid, Japan, c. Mid 20th Century. This piece looks exceptional while on display, it contrasts against an array of interior styles. The ceramic shows a high glossed porcelain glaze, accompanied by vibrant hand painted motifs on all sides. Each painted motif displays garden scenery’s of Birds of Paradise, heavily detailed foliage and architecture – Very stunning. The removable lid is topped with an imperial handle which is embellished in gold. The underside of the piece is marked “Goldimari Hand Painted”.
Condition:
This Urn is in good condition with mild wear shown from age. Surface scratches can be seen in select areas. There aren’t any cracks, chips or crazing
