A Traditional Mahogany Bankers Swivel Library Chair, c.1940. This Library Swivel Chair would look exceptional while displayed in an array of Office Styles. The solid mahogany shows a drastic grain throughout accompanied by a deep original finish. This finish pairs nicely with many period style pieces, perfect to pair with many different office desks and secretaries. The backrest shows a slatted inner gable with a slightly curved shape. The arm rests are nicely sculpted, offering a seamless appearance from all angles. The Chair includes the original cast iron swivel mechanism, which allows you to adjust the height of the chair to accommodate any height desk, as well as a pivot adjustment. Each of the urethane caster wheels were added at a later period, each roll smoothly as they should. The underside of the Chair is unmarked or signed.
