A Victorian Cast Bronze Lion Inkwell Double Pen Holder with Marble Base, c.1960. This Inkwell Pen Holder would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The cast bronze Lion is shown with his mouth open and a flowing mane, it’s posed with both paws crossed. The lion’s head is hinged, while open it reveals a removable bronze ink cup. The double pen rests pivot from side to side, it’s adjustable by a flat head fastener along its side. These fastens must be tightened snug to hold each pen holder in place. The green oval marble base offers perfect contrast and shows a full felt bottom. This piece is unsigned or marked.
