A Victorian Silver Plate Appetizer Shrimp Serving Dish, c. Early 20th Century. This Uniquely Styled Serving Dish would look exceptional while staged within a dining setting as a centerpiece, or upon a counter top. The Silver Plate is nicely aged, showing a fair amount of tarnishing and patina to the finish, this piece is not heavily cleaned or polished. The scallop shell dish was likely used to serve cold shrimp and seafood, with a cocktail sauce cup attached at the end. Two small toothpick holders could be seen along each side of the cocktail cup. A dolphin motif foot is shown along the bottom, it’s both drastic and nicely styled. The underside of the piece is unmarked or signed.
Condition:
This Serving Dish is in overall good condition. Tarnishing and patina is shown to the finish from age.
