This was a lamp that we had to have! We obtained this lamp during a pick in Key Largo, Florida at an old bed and breakfast which was no longer in business. The estate owner informed us that he had actually hand crafted this lamp himself with raw materials found on his property. We aren’t sure what type of wood was used for the body of the lamp, although the slab base was most likely repurposed from another piece, and it appears to be mahogany. The wood is extremely solid and was preserved to perfection, we were quite impressed when holding it how heavy and solid it is. The stained glass shade is most likely circa 1930’s and couldn’t match the lamp any better, size and all. The offset curvature of the lamp really make it stand out, along with the size. This lamp stands almost 3 foot tall! The lamp was tested, and takes your standard sized lightbulbs.
