Axis Deer are a native species to India and Sri Lanka, therefore not native to the U.S. This particular deer was most likely harvested from a ranch in Texas, as the state holds the most exotic ranch’s in the country. This mount was very well crafted, and shows great life-like features. It’s large 6 point rack is in great shape, as well as the hide. Minor flaws are shown, although nothing major, commonly seen in the tips or the ears. This was mounted in 2002 and comes ready to hang. This mount does not contain ivory and is legal to own and receive in all 50 states.
