This Antique Block Front Secretary is an absolute show stopper – The block fronts never seem to last long once we get them in! This piece is extremely sturdy and perfect for those who need a functional antique piece; Great for laptop and paper work! The drop front opens down to display a spacious surface area along with a series of small cubbies and drawers (one drawer pull is missing). The bookcase top features 2 large glass doors with original glass. The fronts of each glass door shows a stunning wood pattern which is all intact without any cracks. The top crown of this piece is prominent and bold, along with the drastic ball and claw feet. Overall, this piece is in very nice shape for its age, although it does have expected wear which can include scratches, blems and small chips. The most notated flaw on this piece would be the inside secretary writing surface. It seems as if the previous estate owners would draw/write on paper without any protection underneath; In result, there’s indentations in the wood on select areas.
