This is one of the earlier pieces by Stickley Quaint, circa 1902. This Antique Rocking Chair is crafted of solid oak, which was quarter sawn and shows a drastic grain throughout. This Rocker shows the iconic lines and design that Stickley was known for crafting. Even though this Chair is over 100 years old, it’s as sturdy as ever. The original brass Stickley Quaint label can be found underneath the chair, and has aged nicely with the piece. This Rocker comes with a bottom cushion, although this was not original to the piece. The piece would have had a black or brown leather cushion. The new cushion that was added appears to have been homemade, but fits the chair nicely – and is quite comfortable. There is a tear on the backside of the cushion, as well as a stitched repair as shown. Overall, this chair is in really nice shape concidering its age. You will find surface scratches, minor chips and blems throughout.
